About
Club de Voile Soustons Marensin has taught sailing on Lake Soustons, in the Landes in south-west France, since 1999. The school holds both the FFVoile label and the Handi Voile label, and it runs dinghies, catamarans, windsurfing and wing foil on what its team calls, without false modesty, the most beautiful stretch of water in the Landes.
The spirit is sporting and the atmosphere is famously friendly. But the season is intense: in summer the activity is multiplied by five, and every boat, instructor and slot on the lake has to be accounted for.
The Problem
Before Bloowatch, the school ran on paper and Excel spreadsheets. The team's own list of what that cost them is short and precise: lost time, no instant view of sales, no way to check payments, no history, a paper schedule that was no longer enough, no customer file and no analysis by product.
For a school whose activity multiplies in summer, that meant running the busiest weeks without the numbers — and preparing the next season's budget from memory and loose sheets.
“We were losing time. No instant sales results, no way to check payments, no history, a paper schedule that wasn't enough, no customer file, no analysis by product.”
The Solution
The school chose Bloowatch for three things: online booking around the clock, the POS for sales at the base, and a schedule built for the way a sailing school actually works.
Today sales come through three doors — at the base on the POS, on the school's website through the booking widget, and by phone and email. Day to day, three tools carry the load: the drag-and-drop schedule, payments taken as a deposit, a balance or a payment link, and the sales and finance reports.
“Yes — online. Close to 20% of our turnover now comes through it.”
What Actually Changed
Asked what really changed, the team names four things: sales are followed, and decisions are taken, on real figures; time is saved; any customer can be found in the booking history; and the statistics are there when they are needed.
They also name the two moments they are most glad of it. The first is high season, when the activity is five times what it is the rest of the year. The second is October, when the budget for the following year is built — now from the season's actual results, product by product.

Conclusion
The school's own estimates: an overall sales impact of 75%, 10 hours saved per week in season — most of it on planning — and close to 20% of turnover now taken online. Over the same years, its activity has been multiplied by 2.8.
Growing nearly threefold is hard to do calmly. Club de Voile Soustons Marensin shows what makes it possible: one place for every booking, every payment and every figure, so the team can spend the season on the water and the autumn on the plan.
